I’ve owned several “muscle” cars, and I don’t think that.

What I do wonder, is why kids with imports are so quick to judge towards the muscle car owners, though.

I very rarely get other muscle cars pulling up to me, and reving their engines. But I do get a significant number of imports doing that. I won’t say they all do. Some are perfectly polite, or just don’t notice my car, or something else. But out of those that do rev the engine, the majority is import owners.

The bottom line is, I’m not interested in your car, whether it’s an import or not. So, if you think you have something to prove to us, just drop it. It’s a car. We really don’t care. By trying to prove something though, you just fit the stereotype.

And ultimately, a ricer is a mentality. You can have a bone stock car, but act like an idiot. And you’ll get labeled a ricer.

Act mature, don’t modify your car to make it the most gaudy thing that you can show off, and don’t try to race people. And people will treat you and your car like any other.

Edit: The Skyline and Supra are NOT muscle cars. I’ve owned 5 Supras (currently have two in my garage) and I would not consider them muscle cars, in the slightest. They are sports cars. Not muscle.

And that’s really a weak argument anyway. How many import owners actually own a Skyline or Supra? Not many.

By the way….my Trans Am weighs LESS than either of my Supras. And gets the same miles per gallon. So…..not sure where you got “5 ton gas guzzling” from….lmao.

think about what you said again muscle cars are american made and are not imports and there is no import that wil ever be a muscle car and not many with the horse power any import car is a ricer

Hmm.. simple answer. Japanese imports anyway… Japanese eat rice (stereotypically) so you do the math

The answer is because 98% of them sound like a modified weedwacker.

9 out of 10 imports come on side of me on highway. i don’t respect most import or mod/tuned drivers because they are ignorant. they have been watching fast and furious too much. i don’t own a muscle or a tuner. i respect muscle cars cause of the appreciation of the car itself and the owners appreciation toward their car. i love when a honda, or acura integra pulls up on the side of me not thinking my lexus gs 400 is 300 hp i make them look pretty dumb. back to the car wash or local parking lot you go to hangout.

because most muscle car guys think that if anyone hops up a import its a ricer, because of the stereo type and the fast and furious movies, given alot of import tuners do rice things up, not everyone likes potato launchers, go fast stickers and neon.

same can be said with muscle car guys, you can say that they are jar-heads that like bad idling gas guzzlers.

and euro tuners also get a stereo type (except for me cus i drive a Volvo…)

    welcome to human nature.

me, i can tolerate all cars from all over the globe (not KiA and HYUNDIA) as long as it has nice form and better function

I suppose alot depends where you live due to having to import American cars not European Fords etc but American made cars, most people import American Muscle cars so we have a good lot driving around.

Also due to easier import rules here we have loads of Japanese cars,as it is so easy it is rare to see modded civics and other Japanese cars,so it is more common to see skylines Evo’s Impreza wrx sti’s etc etc.Due to this our local club is a mix of American and yes it is classed as Japanese Muscle cars, where there is no falling out as we all know what we can do power wise.

Muscle car wise can be American Japanese and Australian etc.

One thing to respect Asian import car owners is due to rules and high taxes on fuel and insurance and the lack of open roads,in most countries there engines are of a low cc,but the respect is to the amount of power that can be produced from those small engines.I have read and seen specs in a car mag of a 700bhp civic.

MK4 TT Supra and Skyline GTR version have hardcore engines and popular with tuners due to the amount of work needed to gain good power gains, this makes them super tunable cars which will see well over 1000bhp,
