A new intake would help or at least a new air filter and maybe replace the fuel filter and add some STP carb/gas treatment.
Hybrids
Replace the carb with a new edelbrock carb. I get 20+ MPG out of my old Vette with a carb and 350ci engine.
the are easy to tune and much much better than they used to be.

top thing- keep the tires properly inflated -make sure the air intake filter is not stopped up- get the car tuned up,or at least change the plugs in it.- do not drive over sixty mph-avoid jackrabbit starts-slowly get up to cruising speed, avoid ;long periods of idling the vehicle.
Do all of these things and you may increase your mileage about two mpg, but at today’s gas prices that will help out..
The Hybrid Truck Guy
Make sure tire pressure is correct.
Keep car light.
Keep trunk empty.
Accelerate slower.
