1970 Buick GSX 455 Ruled the Buicks, (Stage 1 never impressed me! Didn't they have other Stages?) I don't feel like searching for my 1967 Pontiac Owners Manual, I will take your word for now, 427 @ 390 H.P.! The Olds 442 was a good concept, 4 spd manual, 4 barrel, dual exhaust, but lost me when they contradicted themselves and put in automatics! I loved the cars without power steering, they said you couldn't turn them, I just turned the wheel a bit, reved up the engine let the clutch out, gave it some gas, peeled those tires and around she went, it was easy, I never had problems with non power cars, and what's with all these automatics, no body knows how to drive anymore?

‘Cuda 440 CID with 6 pack was probably the best but the 1965 Pontiac Catalina that I owned called the 2+2 that came from the factory with a 421 CID motor with 3 two barrel carbs, 4 speed, dual exhaust wasn’t bad either.

They were all great in their day now they are usually trailer queens…talk to people who remember these fine classics like in high school or buddies and let them tell ya…I remember riding around in a 1970 GTO Judge and a 1970 454 LS6 Chevelle and a 1971 Boss 351 Mustang or even a 1970 Plymouth Super Bird too… My Dad had a 1966 427 Vette 425 horse red with side pipes so that is my favorite…But there were so many nice examples that any muscle car from that era is a godsend…gas was about .25 cents and payments were like 100.00 bux a month and insurance was like 200,,00 dollars a year full coverage ..It was gone before we had a chance to appreciate them, we thought it was gonna last forever man…

don’t forget about the 1962 Chevy impala with a 409 speed transmission with 2 off set 4 barrel carbs, these were extremely powerful cars, and they were built in limited numbers, very rare and valuable right now

My first car 1967 Dodge Coronet 500, it only had the b-block 383 HP, but man did it earn a reputation, It was not considered to many as a true muscle car because it was “only a 325 horse, 425 Ft./ lb Torque V-8″, but it was faster than many and ran hard, I agree 1967 was an excellent year for mopars , even the c-body Gran Fury VIP, came with a 440.
I choose the 1967 Dodge Charger 426 hemi 4-spd. due to it’s unique fastback design (66-67 only) and fold down rear seats, full console and fold down headlight system!

So riddle me this: If you’re posting on a Mopar board, what kind of answer would you expect?
So let’s start off with the Buick . . . you mean a Stage 1 and not the base 455, right?
Then, let’s move over to the Canadian . . . they never installed 427s in Beaumonts. Additionally, the top 427 available on the big cars was 390hp – they never installed the L72 in any of the big Canadians.
Onto the American Poncho . . . they only made 17 Judges with the 455 in 1970 – 3 ragtops, 14 hardtops. A more appropriate comparison would be Pontiac’s top dog, the RAIV.
Now which one is the greatest? The one that pushes your button, of course! And, no, that doesn’t include the Hemi Dart because it was a race car, not a street musclecar.
