Why not? you don't want to have modern engine power in a old classic chasse?

go to
and tell me that you don't want those cars!

BMW Fan

Is it going to preform like the Tesla promises? If so, it would leave its more "legitimate" brothers at the starting gate.

Like all other technologies, it would have to fit the application. I don't think it would work for cross country driving the way a gas engine will, at least not now.

I wouldn't do it for the car enthusiasts, clearly, but then I thought the point of a classic was to not drive what everyone else drives.

Hybrids

I have a 78 Chevelle, and by no means is it in any sort in "restored" condition - Its ulgy and brown but fast and loud. Its mostly aftermarket parts, without a cat converter and straight pipes. I love the idea of having a vehicle as such. There is no way that I would ever convert the car to be eco friendly or fuel efficeient. It destroys the meaning of a muscle car.

mustang fan

Absolutely not. Hybrid power and anemic performance violate everything the classic American muscle car stand for.

If this is something you are considering marketing, think again...

The very thought of this to a muscle car enthusiast is sacrilegious.

PS: People will also view the use of a clean late 60's muscle car body in this type of application as a total waste of a good car, IE 'bastardization.'
