the taurus fan would work fine. clutch fans are inefficient because they can only turn out 2500 cfm in the first place. They also rob you of more HP then an electric fan would because they are clutch driven.

The taurus fan turns at around 3500 rpm and a fan out of a mark8 is good for 4500 rpm. for 500 crank hp the taurus fan will cool down your car well enough.

I had a 91 stang with 520rw and my taurus fan worked fine.

use the factory clutch fan and you won't be sorry when the electric fan doesn't cool enough. The regular fan can consume 20 and sometimes more horsepower but the clutch fans although heavy will usually use less than 5 because the clutch doesn't let the fan go faster than 2500 rpm. If you must have an electric fan get the Black Majic one listed in the Summit catalog so it will cool a 500 HP engine
