restored chargers are about 50 to $60,000 depending on the engine in it and don't even think about the hemi charger!, it will cost a pretty penny to restore any mopar as parts are harder to find and if you do find them they are double in price of a chevy or ford.

Hybrid Nation

Ok.... stop dreaming. With ebay and barrett-jackson, all of the "barn cars" are gone. so, you have only three choices. #1) buy a restored car that is 100% complete. #2) buy a daily driver. #3) buy a basket case and bring 'er back.
Also, you can compromise a little. A Chevelle and a Skylark are basically the same vehicle. The Skylark has about the same performance but isn't as popular which means it's cheaper.

I suggest getting a daily driver. Let's say you're a Ford guy. Hell, everyone has a '69 Mustang... Get a '70 Mercury Cougar. Trust me.... you'll get more looks.

muscle car

If you buy one in top condition, you will pay for it and probably not get your value. Buy one that is a basket case, and you will loose too. Buy one somewhwre in between. Possibly even on the road, but rough. Spend some time restoring it, and realy get to know it, and you will have fun, appreciate more and know everything there is to know about it, so there will be nop surprises on the finished car.
