can someone tell me where i can buy a dvd or a website with videos on how to rebuild a muscle car?
Liquid_Fox asked:
i am definitely no mechanic, but i would really like to learn how to build a muscle car as a hobby. i know the basics but when it comes to building for performance i really don't know too much in depth. i just put it a rebuilt 289 in my mustang, and i want it to really burn rubber. tired of chevy guys making fun of it cause is a mustang (chick car, they all say). any guide towards right direction would be much appreciated.

get a book on older engines and what it take to make them run and then you will get the answer to what makes what for performance cant get 10 years of skill for 10 minutes of video read and practice go thrue the book and work on the car learn and you will understand it. screw anyone who makes fun, take time and learn and you will be so much smarter then them your 289 will be takin out there 350 windsor. haha tell you what drop a weiand supercharger in there after you build that engine, slap this on

Try Spike TVs weekend morning line up. To build a car it doesn’t have to be a muscle car, just adapt the techniques to your car.
The mustang is a very macho car with the right stuff but the 289 was too small to really compete once Chevy went from 283 to 327.
Ask any Chevy dude about the BOSS name in 302 and 429 models.

I would go with a book instead. I always want something that I can refer to as I am working. A DVD is great for tips and ideas but it is difficult to work on a car and have to keep running in and check the DVD for the nest step or tip. Amazon has some great restoration books on the classic muscle cars.
