rerun52 asked:

where the hell do Hollywood filmmakers get all those classic cars to use and do they really destroy those cars? and what about those custom cars where do they go or windup?

1 there are company’s that rent to movie/tv productions
and yes they destroy cars during filming…[there was an article in hot rod magazine about the making of dukes of hazard...it took 40 cars to film it [the movie]…many of the ones wrecked were junkyard junkers rebuilt for the movie…and they have a crew of body guys on staff..don’t worry..they dont really wreck high dollar classics [

    classic car

There are companies that lease these cars out to film producers.

The rare cars are not destroyed in ‘accidents’. They are reproductionns or movie props.

The custom cars are usually sold at auctions to private collectors.
