What’s this rattling noise coming from my car whenever I turn?

I'm driving a 2004 Chevy Malibu Classic, and every time I make a turn, the front rattles. It rattles on either side, depending on which direction I'm turning. Upon inspection, there is nothing loose that might cause a rattling noise. It doesn't really make this noise when I'm on the highway- only when I'm going slower speeds- like turning at stop signs. What could be causing this??? It's been doing this for about 3-4 weeks now, but it's not stopping the car from working in any way.

yupp…sounds like you need some new axles…..they arent too expense….200 bucks…installed.. axles start clicking really bad when you take a turn means they’re bad…you should replace them asap…because now that they are bad.. they can lock up while your driving and cause you to loose control.

Have the front ani-roll bar links inspected. Check the lower A-arm front bushings. Check all constant velocity joints for boot tears and loss of grease. Check the inner and outer tie rod ends. Check the lower ball joints. Check the wheel bearings.
This is rather far-fetched but also have the strut pinch bolts checked for tightness along with the upper strut tower nuts.
All these things may be confusing to you but it’s better to leave no stone unturned! Any new car dealership, alignment shop or private mechanic can find the problem.

sounds like your CV joints are bad, most places like Midas or AAmco will inspect them for free, and there repair prices are fair, some towing companys not so fair if you see where I’m going with this
