How to make my Truck sound like a muscle car?

I have a 6.0L LQ4 in my silverado and i want to get that deep rumble like a muscle car but i dont want just sound from the exhaust i want it from the engine.
Would performance headers do the trick or is thier more to it?

headers will give the engine more of a choppier sound,but the best way to deepen the sound of your truck is to go with bigger diameter exhaust(ex.go to three inch exhaust pipe).also, the old type “cherry bomb”mufflers have a louder,deeper tone,and are WAY cheaper than flow masters.

headers wont do anything for sound. you need dual exhaust but if you have that already then I would alter it with some flowmaster mufflers but beware that you will be voiding your car warranty if its a new truck. You dont want to pour too much money into it so I would try the mufflers first. Go to performance shops and see what they have thats the latest in performance exhaust.

i would do what they said and upgrade to a bigger exhaust, headers would help but you should look at the whole exhaust system. if you want to go cheap, then get glasspacks but i would recomend getting some flowmasters.

if you don’t want to put just mufflers on yes do the headers but make sure you get the right ones for your truck, I worked in a muffler shop for 3 years, flowmaster mufflers are good. have one on my truck sounds good and I only have a 6 cyl. engine the new mufflers should help your gas mileage too
