He had a 72 Nova SS that I loved...it was the state drag champ for 1/4 mile in the early 80's...that thing could fly...and boy, did my mom hate it..also fond of a 77 convertible Corvette... My folks got a brand-new 72 GTO convertible when I was little kid, it was a wine/plum color with a white top--we all loved that car...my mom nearly died in it when she got hit head on, though...and it took her a year to get back on her feet...they never got another one after that... I spent a lot of my formative years in the Corvettes of the 70's...I used to love to drive with my dad in those cars...he'd take me out on the highway and tell me, "Go faster, faster!"
