It depends on the state you reside in. The title company suggested by another cannot help in all states. Contact the DMV and ask them about the procedure to obtain a legal title. Good luck

Hybrid Nation

Contact your Department of Motor Vehicles and tell them the truth. Most states have a form you fill out explaining how you came to be in possession of a vehicle without a title. Since it is an old vehicle they will think it has no value and you will probably get a title with little difficulty. If you lie to DMV when you apply for a title you also can receive years in prison. It's not worth it.

Cheap Rides

Simple, the title to the property should state you own all buildings and contents. If it doesn't, and the owner hasn't claimed possession within 30 days of the closure of title, then, it's yours. Go to the local DVM and file for a lost title.Don't tell them it was found in a barn or given to you. Lots more hassle and cost to you. Tell them you restored it from a junker, found in an old junk yard years ago.
